Using the report a fault tab allows you to submit fault reports concerning your area directly back to the Council. There are three key steps involved in this process.
Step 1. Choosing a Fault Type
The fault types are arranged by category in a list. Select the type that
closest matches the problem you wish to report. If there is no appropriate
fault type then use the ‘Other’ option from the bottom of the list. Upon
selection to a fault type you will be automatically moved on to the next step.
Step 2. Choosing a fault location
LocalView gives you three ways to record the location of a fault.
Step 3. Completing the fault report
The final step is to complete the fault report. The information collected will
vary dependent on the type of fault selected. Enter as much information as you
have as this will help the Council deal with your request as quickly as
possible; the only required field is the date and you do not have to leave
contact details if you wish to remain anonymous. On completion of the fault
report a page will be displayed to give you the unique reference number of the
problem reported. Use this reference if you need to contact the Council about
the problem in the future. If you entered an email address this information
will also be emailed through to you for your records.
